[source] it is the root and fruit of Rosa sericea.
[plant morphology] Rosa sericea
Deciduous shrub, 1-3 m high. Branchlets grayish brown; base of prickles often inflated. Pinnate compound leaves alternate, short branch leaves dense sub cluster; leaflets 7-15, ovate or obovate, 1-2 cm long, apex obtuse, base nearly round or cuneate, margin serrate, glabrous above, densely filiform pilose below; stipules linear, mostly connected to petiole. Flowers white or yellowish, solitary, without bracts; calyx lobes 5, ovate lanceolate; petals 5, obovate. Rose fruit globose or obovate globose, reddish brown, calyx lobes persistent.
It grows on hillsides and roadside shrubs. It is distributed in Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan and Tibet.

[function indications] Xiaoshi Jianpi, Zhili. Treatment of food accumulation, abdominal distension, bowel sounds and diarrhea.
