Annual small herb, 6-13 cm high. Stem erect, square, with fine pubescence on the edge. Leaves opposite; leaves ovate, apex obtuse, base rounded or broadly cuneate, margin sparsely serrated and short hairy, below the main vein sparsely short hairy: flowers axillary at the top, 1-2; calyx campanulate, 5-lobed; corolla reddish purple, lip shaped. Shuo Guo.

Most of them grow on grass slopes.
