Annual plants. Stem fleshy, purplish red, smooth, creeping, rooting under nodes. There are two kinds of leaves on the same node: degenerate leaves are very small, almost sessile, linear obovate; normal leaves are very large, obliquely ovate, 2-6cm long, 1.3-3cm wide, apex obtuse, sometimes acute, base heart-shaped, very asymmetric, edge wavy, with round teeth, dark green on the top, light green, red or pale white on the bottom, and numerous white spots on both sides in living conditions, The stipules are membranous, ovate lanceolate, 4-8 mm long, 2 connate and persistent. The flowers are axillary, white and reddish, dioecious; the male inflorescence is an open cyme, the total pedicel is 5-8 cm long, the female inflorescence is a dense cyme, the total pedicel is nearly absent; the male sepal is 5, equal in size, the stamen is 5; the female sepal is 5, oblong, nearly equal, with a small tip at the top; the ovary is smaller than the calyx, with a small tumor. Achenes pale brown with distinct scleroma. The flowering period is from May to October.

Born on the wet rock of the gully. It is distributed in Guangdong, Yunnan and other places.
