[plant morphology] Radix Angelicae Pubescentis
Perennial herb, 1-2 meters high, the whole plant often with black purple. Stem furrow, hollow, less branched. Leaves thin leathery, 2-3 pinnate, lobes oblong lanceolate, length up to 20 cm, width up to 6 cm, margin irregularly serrated. The compound umbel is black purple, without involucre, with 30-70 expanded black purple leaf sheaths, densely short hairs; the small involucre is linear; the petals are black purple, and the apex is concave. Schizocarps ca. 8 mm long, ca. 5 mm wide, in each groove. There is one oil pipe.
It is distributed in Northeast China.

Function indications: remove wind and blood. It can cure joint pain and flash frustration.
[usage and dosage] oral: decoction, 3-5 yuan. External use: wash with boiling water.
[prescription selection] 1. Treatment of flash, frustration, swelling and pain: one or two Angelica sinensis, one or two Schizonepeta tenuifolia, five scallion white. Fry soup and wash the affected area.
② Treatment of joint swelling and pain: Angelica five money, Phellodendron four money, Atractylodes five money. Fried in water, twice a day. (functions: Jilin Chinese herbal medicine)
