Erect shrubs or subshrubs, 30-90 cm high, nearly bald. Leaflets 7-13, opposite, ovate to ovate lanceolate, 2.5-6 cm long and 1-2.5 cm wide; green above, glabrous below, with white t-hairs; apex short, base narrow, entire; stipules acicular. Raceme axillary, to 15 cm long; petiole slender; calyx cup-shaped, 5-toothed, calyx teeth broadly triangular, with white pubescence; corolla butterfly shaped, light red, ca. 15 mm long, flag petal densely short hairy. Pods straight, linear, ca. 4 cm long, brownish black. The seeds are numerous. It blooms in summer.
Born in the wild or cultivated in the garden. Distributed in Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and other places.
