Spade
Perennial herbs. Rhizome thick, inclined, many nodes. There are brown stipules, leaves from the rhizome cluster, with long petioles; leaves broad heart-shaped, apex sharp, margin obtuse serrate. Flower stems axillary, as long as petioles; flowers solitary, large, white or lavender; calyx 5, base extended into ear shape; petal 5, lower 1, base spurred, spur short and round; stamens short, 5, lower 2, base of stamens with nectary appendages, extending into the spur. Ovary superior, with blunt head. Capsule elliptic, with brown glandular spots. The flowering period is from April to May.
It grows under the forest and beside the stream. It is distributed in Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Guangxi, etc.

② Treatment of unknown swelling poison: wupaolian smashed, applied to the affected area.
