Herbs annual, erect, glabrous, 30-50 cm high, base woody. Branches cylindrical or with inconspicuous angles. Leaves leathery, opposite; leaves oblong lanceolate or ovate elliptic, 4-7 cm long and 1-3 cm wide; petioles short, with triangular stipules at the base. Flowers small, white, short petiole, dense cyme; calyx 2-3 mm long, lobes triangular; corolla 5-6 mm long, tube narrow, throat slightly enlarged, lobes ovate lanceolate, about as long as tube. Capsule small, subglobose, dehiscent.
Born on sunny hillside and wasteland. It is distributed in Guangdong, Jiangxi and other places.
