Plant morphology of celery

Herbs perennial, 60 cm tall, glabrous. The root tubers are spindle shaped, brown, 1.5-3 cm long. Stem erect, slender, upper part branched. The leaves are alternate, the lower leaves are 3-pinnate compound leaves, ovate, the leaflets are linear, 1-3cm long, far away from each other, sessile or petiole very short, the final leaflets are narrow strip, sharp pointed, entire; the petiole is 8-10cm long; the upper leaves are 1-pinnate compound leaves; the uppermost leaves are 3-compound leaves. Compound umbel; without involucre; umbrella 9-15, unequal length, 4-5 cm long; small involucre leaflike, caducous; umbel with 8-20 flowers; pedicel 1-2 mm long; petals purplish red, margin and base white, elliptic, apex entire, base short clawed. Suspensory fruit ovoid, about 1.5 mm long, fruit edge prominent.

In alpine grassland and forest margin. Distributed in Yunnan, Sichuan, Hubei, Shaanxi and other places.

Functions and indications: hemostasis and analgesia, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, dispelling wind and dampness, strengthening muscles and bones. Treatment of traumatic injury, bleeding, metrorrhagia, rheumatic waist and leg pain, strain.

[usage and dosage] oral administration: decoct soup, 2-3 yuan; grind powder or soak wine. External use: grind and sprinkle.

[selection] (1) treat rheumatism lumbago and leg pain: Taibai 3732, two times daily, two times a day, baijiu.

② Treatment of traumatic injuries: Taibai 37 5 points, safflower, catechu, taro seven, to Xiantao each one money. Decoct with water, and take one or two cups of wine every two hours.

③ Treatment of metrorrhagia: Taibai 371 money, after chewing with boiling water.
