Water Weng pi
(essential preparation of raw herbs)
[synonym] shuiweng bark.
[source] it is the bark of myrtle. See "water Weng flower" for plant morphology.
[collection] harvest in summer and autumn.
[medicinal material] the dry bark is about 1 cm thick and covered with cork. After the cork is removed, the surface is yellowish white, the skin is brownish red, fibrous and densely covered with white dust. It is easy to tear into strips in longitudinal direction, and dust will fly out when it is bounced.
