[plant morphology] Callicarpa australis
Evergreen tree, 3-10m high, with stellate hairs. Stem cylindrical. Single leaf, opposite, leathery, oblong, 15-24 cm long, 7-9 cm wide, apex long acuminate, base wide cuneate, with few hairs on the top, densely stained yellow hairs on the bottom, entire, 7-9 pairs of lateral veins. Many flowers densely arranged into axillary cymes, small flowers, purplish red. Drupe berry shaped, globose, about 2 mm in diameter, purplish red. It blooms in summer.
Most of them live on roadsides or in sparse forests. It is distributed in Yunnan, Guangxi and other places.
