[plant morphology] Fritillaria taibaiensis
Perennial herbs, 40-50 cm high. Bulb oblate, 2.5 cm in diameter. Stem smooth, leaves above middle. The lowest two leaves are opposite, above which are alternate, opposite or whorled, and below the flowers are whorled; the leaves are linear or linear lanceolate, 7-13 cm long. Flowers simple, terminal, pendulous; perianth campanulate, lobes 6, separate, yellow green, upper purple spots, 3-4 cm long; stamens 6, anther base attached; ovary superior, usually 3-locular. Capsule, locular, membranous, oblong, with 2 rows of flat seeds per locule.
Born in alpine grassland. Distributed in Shaanxi, Gansu, Sichuan and other places.
[collection] in June, the wheat bran was collected and dried in the shade, and then smoked with sulfur yellow.

Functions and indications: moistening the lung, resolving phlegm and relieving cough. Treatment of lung heat, cough, bronchitis, expectoration adverse.
