Small shrubs, 50-100 cm high. Branches scattered, branchlets slender, striped, covered with villi. Stipules are hard hairy, persistent; 3-compound leaves, leaflets ovate or ovate oblong, 1-1.5 cm long, 7-9 mm wide, apex obtuse, apical, base rounded, margin convoluted, abaxial surface covered with white hairs, nearly leathery. Raceme axillary, total petiole thin, hairy; bracts lanceolate; flowers small, spreading; calyx bell shaped, 5-lobed, lobes lanceolate; corolla butterfly shaped, white or slightly yellow, flag petal wide, base purple spot, shorter than keel petal; stamens 10, 2-body; ovary superior, style inward curved, stigma small, terminal. Pods rounded, often not longer than sepals. The flowering period is from July to September. The fruit period is from September to October.
