Perennial herbs, 30-70 cm high. Stem erect or prostrate, slightly hairy, much branched. Leaflets oblong obovate or oblanceolate, 1-2 cm long and 2-4 mm wide, apex obtuse, base cuneate, margin dentate; stipules large, pointed and long. Raceme, axillary, with 10-20 flowers; pedicel longer than petiole; corolla butterfly shaped, yellow, 2 times longer than calyx. Pods flat, rectangular, curved into a half moon, smooth, 1.5-2 cm long, brown at maturity. 5-10 seeds. The flowering period is in the middle of August.
Born in grassland or hilly lowlands and gully. Distributed in Xinjiang, Shaanxi, Gansu, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Hebei and other places.
