[plant morphology] Rhizoma Curcumae (Introduction to medicine), also known as turmeric and green ginger.

Perennial perennial herbs. The rhizome is oval and massive, with cylindrical transverse branches on the side. The root system is long and thin, and the end expands into an oval block. The leaf blade is oblong elliptic or narrowly ovate, 13-24 cm long and 7-11 cm wide, with purple halo in the middle of the vein; the petiole is about 1 / 3 of the leaf length, extending into a sheath, and the auricle is small. The inflorescence is cylindrical spike, about 14 cm long, with peduncle and dense flowers; the bracts are ovoid, the apical bracts are expanded, bright red, and there are no flowers in the axils; the calyx is white, with 3 obtuse teeth; the corolla lobes are 3, the upper one is larger, the tip is slightly cucullate, the lip is round, pale yellow, the apex is 3-shallowly cracked, and the middle lobe is slightly absent. Capsule ovate triangular, smooth. Seeds oblong. With aril. The flowering period is from March to May.

Wild in the mountains or in the grass under the forest. Distributed in Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Zhejiang, Taiwan, Yunnan, Sichuan and other places.

The dried rhizome is oval or spindle shaped, about 3-5 cm long and 1-3 cm in diameter. The outer skin is grayish yellow to brownish yellow, slightly wrinkled, with ring-shaped nodes and fibrous root marks on the nodes. It is hard to break because of its solid and heavy quality. The broken face is grayish brown to yellowish green, horny and glossy, with a yellowish white ring and white veins. Slightly fragrant, slightly bitter and pungent. It is mainly produced in Guangxi and Sichuan. In addition, it is also produced in Fujian, Guangdong, Zhejiang and Yunnan.

Methods: 80 cases of early and advanced cervical cancer were observed by local focus injection combined with intravenous medication, in which the average medication time of early patients was about 9 months, and that of late patients was about 6 months. It was observed that local necrosis could be found in 15 days after local injection of 100% zedoary turmeric injection, and in 2-3 days after local injection of 10% zedoary turmeric volatile oil solution or 5% zedoary turmeric volatile oil emulsion. Therefore, when we use zedoary turmeric volatile oil alcohol solution and emulsion in clinic, we can use 100% zedoary turmeric injection for local injection when the lesion tissue is completely necrotic; when the necrotic tissue can not fall off naturally, we can use tissue forceps or scissors to take it off, and continue to inject the surrounding tissue. If the surrounding tissue is inflamed, there is no need to stop the drug. In some patients, the lesions are not very serious at the beginning of treatment, but more obvious after several times of medication. This is the result of the local infiltrated tissue exposed under the action of the drug solution, rather than the development of the disease, so the medication should be continued.
