Evergreen dwarf shrubs, 10-12 cm high. Stem erect, branchlets fine, grayish brown. Single leaf alternate, leathery, elliptic or obovate, 1-2 cm long, 6-10 mm wide, apex obtuse, base cuneate, entire or nearly entire, leaf margin hairy, dark green above, light green below, glandular dots; petiole 0.5-3 mm long, white hair, short raceme, flowers several; calyx short campanulate, 4-lobed; corolla campanulate, 4-6 mm long, white or pinkish, lobes 4-lobed , broadly ovate; stamens 8, filaments hairy; style filiform, beyond corolla. Berry nearly globose, ripe orange red, diameter 5-7 mm. The flowering period is from June to July. The fruiting period is August.
It grows under coniferous forests or shrubs in high mountains. Distributed in Jilin, Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang and other places.
