[source] it is the leaf or whole grass of Rubus sibiricus.
[plant morphology] Hanmei (compiled by Materia Medica Society), also known as lung shaped grass, shuipiaosha, hancipao, Shanhuo berry and large Cibo.
Small evergreen creeping shrubs. Stem often decumbent, ca. 30 cm tall, villous, without spines or with few spines; stolon as long as 2 m. Simple leaves alternate, suborbicular, 4-8 cm in diameter, margin 5-lobed and serrate, apex obtuse, base cordate, upper part nearly glabrous, lower part and petiole densely hairy. Raceme short, axillary, with 5-10 flowers, total pedicel with gray white tomentose; flowers white; sepals 5, covered with tomentose outside. Aggregate fruit nearly globose, red. The fruit period is from October to November.
It grows in the shade of hillside trees and on the side of mountain roads. It is distributed in Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Hubei, Sichuan, Fujian and Taiwan.

[function indications] it can replenish Yin and essence, and can be used as a strong medicine.
[usage and dosage] oral administration: decoction, 3-5 yuan (1-2 Liang fresh).
Don't use it when you have a cold or cough.
[selection] 1. For the treatment of pulmonary (tuberculosis) hemoptysis: one or two fresh cold berry leaves (five dollars for dry ones) and one or two rock sugar. Stew in boiling water twice a day. (the following is Fujian folk herbal medicine)
