[plant morphology] Cynanchum japonicum

Perennial herbs, 1-1.5 m long. Stem slender, tendril, many branched, densely covered with yellow hairs. Leaf blade ovate lanceolate, ovate elliptic or oblong, 1.5-3.5 cm long, 8-15 mm wide, apex pointed, base cuneate, entire, both surfaces covered with fine hairs. Flowers axillary, calyx 5-lobed; broadly lanceolate; petals 5, white; stamens 10. Fruit globose, slightly fleshy, black at maturity, calyx persistent, flowering in summer.

It grows in the grass on the hillside. It is distributed from the middle to the southwest of China.
