Rattan shrub. Leaves alternate; lanceolate, 3.9-6.9 cm long, 12-19.8 mm wide, apex long acuminate, base broadly cuneate, both sides slightly asymmetric, entire, sometimes microwavy, veins protruding below. Flowers axillary, green, with dark purple halo, 2-3 arranged into cymes, peduncle slender, 2.4-3.9 cm long, slightly curved; peduncle 6-12 mm long, slightly inflated at the top; 5 petals; style about 3 mm long, lateral ovary side. The fruit is composed of two carpels. When the two carpels are developed, the fruit is only connected at the base and is dichotomous. One of them is usually undeveloped. The other single fruit is flattened and oblique ovate, about 6 mm long, with persistent style at the apex, grayish brown and reticulate. The single fruit and dichotomous fruit each have one seed.
It was born in the valley and wet area. It is distributed in Yunnan.

Bitter, cold and poisonous.
Functions and indications: dispelling wind and dampness, relieving pain, removing sores and poisons. Treatment of rheumatic paralysis, rheumatic lumbago.
[usage and dosage] oral: decoction, 3-5 yuan. External use: wash with boiling water.
