It is a perennial herb, often spreading and creeping. The whole plant is covered with yellowish green long and thin pubescence, mainly in stems, petioles, stipules, back of leaves and veins. Stems angular, slender, with fibrous roots on nodes. Leaf blade stipules oblong to 2.5-12 mm long, stipules oblong to oblong, margin oblong to lanceolate. Flowers clustered in leaf axils; petiole 2-3 mm long, calyx tube funnel-shaped, 4-lobed; corolla funnel-shaped, 5-6 mm long, 4-lobed, Lilac White, thin white, 4-lobed; stamen 4; ovary 2-locular, stigma 2-lobed, rod-shaped. Capsule, oblate, ca. 2 mm long and wide, loculicidal; sepals persistent. Seeds black brown, small. The flowering period is July. The fruiting period is September.
