[chemical composition] the tannin content of leaves is 33%. The tannins include gallic acid, gallic acid tetrasaccharide, triglyceride glucose, trimethyl gallic acid glucose, flavonoids, delphinin 3-galactoside, blueberry anthocyanin, petuniacin-3-glucoside, cyanidin glucoside, delphinin glucoside, paeoniflorin glucoside, etc. It also contains volatile oil.
[pharmacological action] the total flavonoid glycoside preparation obtained from the leaves of Cotinus coggygria has anti-inflammatory effect after oral administration of 80-160 mg / kg. It can inhibit the proliferation of cells and increase the resistance of capillaries in rats and mice with formaldehyde induced paw edema, but has no effect on egg white edema. In addition, because of tannin, it has astringent and antibacterial effects. It can be used for external treatment of trauma, and can also be used for internal treatment of gastroenteritis.
