[plant morphology] Clematis flaviflora
Liana, 3 m long; stems and leaves subglabrous. The leaves are gray green, bipinnate, 15 cm long; the pinnae are usually 2 pairs, with slender stalks, leaflets lanceolate or narrowly ovate, 1-2.5 cm long and 0.5-1.5 cm wide, undivided or with 1-2 lobules at the lower part, margin sparsely dentate or entire. Cymes axillary, usually 3-flowered; calyx campanulate, pale yellow, sepals 4, narrowly ovate, 1.2-1.6 cm long, 6 mm wide, pubescent only at margin; stamens numerous, filaments narrowly strip, pubescent. Achene oblate ovate, ca. 2. 5 mm, with persistent pinnate style.
Growing on hillsides, grasslands, roadsides or shrubs. It is distributed in North China and Northwest China.
[collection] harvest in summer and autumn, remove weeds and dry in the sun.
[medicinal materials] most of them are bundled into bundles, 10-15 cm long. The stem is thin, 1-3 mm in diameter, yellow green to gray green on the surface, with obvious longitudinal lines; the nodes are slightly expanded. Leaves opposite, 2-pinnate compound, mostly broken, intact leaflets lanceolate or narrowly ovate, entire or sparsely dentate. The stem is brittle and easy to break. The air is weak and the taste is light. In the north of Hebei Province, it is used as "Tougu grass".
