Evergreen shrubs, up to 2.5 meters, except inflorescence slightly hairy, are bald, strong branches, cylindrical. Leaves opposite, elliptic, 10-15 cm long, 4.5-6 cm wide, apex obtuse, entire, base gradually narrowed into short stalks. Spike terminal, 7-10 cm long; many broad ovate bracts, 1.2 cm long, 10 mm wide, green, hairy, with 3-4 flowers inside; bracteoles very small or narrow; sepals 5, 4 mm long; corolla 2 lip shaped, 1.4-1.6 cm long, white with red spots, upper lip 2-lobed, lower lip larger, short 3-lobed, middle lobe wider; stamen 2, inserted in corolla throat, protruding Style linear, short 2-lobed. Capsule ovate or elliptic, ca. 8 mm, hairy. It blooms in spring.
