Perennial erect herbs, 30-100 cm high. The taproot is thick and long. Stems and branches are tetragonal with white hairs. Leaves with 3 leaflets, middle leaflets ovate, narrowly ovate or obovate, 5-12 mm long, 3-7 mm wide, apex rounded or truncate, slightly concave or with small tip, margin serrate, lateral leaflets slightly smaller; petiole about 5 mm long, white pilose; stipules lanceolate. Raceme axillary, 12-20 mm long, with 3-8 flowers; flowers small; pedicel about 1 mm long; calyx simple bell shaped, about 4 mm long, calyx teeth triangular, white pilose; corolla yellow, with purple stripes. Pods flat, oblong, 7-10 mm long, 5 mm wide, surface striated, apex short pointed. Seeds 2-4, rectangular. It's yellowish brown.
