(collection of compendium)
Another name: fruit oil and peanut oil.
[source] it is the fatty oil extracted from the seeds of legumes. The plant morphology is detailed in the section "luohuasheng".
[chemical composition] peanut oil contains glycerides of various fatty acids. The main fatty acid was oleic acid (39.2-65.7%). Linoleic acid (16.8-38.2%), palmitic acid (7.2-12.9%), stearic acid (2.6-5.6%), arachidonic acid, behenic acid, eicosanoic acid, myristic acid, waxy acid, cis-eicosen-9-acid, eicosen-11-acid, arachidonic acid, lauric acid, etc.
[pharmacological action] peanut oil can be used as solvent for oil injection and matrix for ointment. It was tested that peanut oil was injected subcutaneously once a day (0.05 ml / 100 g) for 3 days, which could make the thyroid gland of rats slightly enlarged and the iodine uptake rate of thyroid gland increased. The water vapor distillation of peanut oil has weak antibacterial effect. In the replication of experimental atherosclerosis in rats, peanut oil combined with other high cholesterol diet can make the aorta produce "atherosclerotic change" similar to human; if butter is used instead of peanut oil, thrombosis often occurs, and the lesion is not similar to human.

[clinical application] ① treatment of acute and chronic bacillary dysentery
Take edible peanut oil and sterilize it into injection. Inject it into acupoints of Shangjuxu and Zusanli on both sides, 1 ml for each acupoint. According to the observation of 167 cases of acute bacillary dysentery, 128 cases (76.6%) were cured and 39 cases (23.4%) failed after one treatment. In the failure cases, 26 cases of symptoms and signs disappeared, only stool culture was positive. The average antipyretic time of effective cases was 17.6 hours, abdominal pain and diarrhea disappeared for 2.5 days, stool returned to normal for 2.6 days, stool microscopic examination returned to normal for 1.9 days, stool culture turned negative for 3.1 days. In addition, 105 cases (90 acute cases and 15 chronic cases) were reported. The dosage and acupoints used were the same as those used in the above method. For acute cases, the injection was usually once. If the injection could not be controlled, it could be injected once after 3 days. For chronic cases, the injection was twice a week. Results the cure rate was 88.5%, the effective rate was 96.1%. After injection, body temperature returned to normal in 1-2 days, abdominal pain and diarrhea disappeared in 2 days, stool test returned to normal in 4-5 days.
② Treatment of intestinal obstruction caused by Ascaris lumbricoides
Take cooked peanut oil orally. Those under 15 years old took 60 ml per meal, and those who didn't get better after 6 hours took it again. Take it once less and four times more. For those over 16 years old, take 80 ml, less once, more than three times. The patients who vomit after taking it can add flavoring or inject it through gastric tube. At the same time, it can cooperate with general supportive therapy to correct electrolyte disorder. If it is serious, they can fast. 80 cases were treated by the above method, except 1 case with volvulus and converted to surgery, the rest were cured. The average length of stay was 4.14 days. A few patients discharged Ascaris lumbricoides on the same day or the next day after taking the oil; most patients relieved symptoms in 1-2 days and disappeared symptoms and signs in 2-3 days, otherwise they often had complications. After taking the oil, there was no adverse reaction except nausea and vomiting in some children. Two cases of adult volvulus and seven cases of infantile intestinal obstruction caused by Ascaris lumbricoides were treated with peanut oil once or twice. Generally, the abdominal pain is relieved within 6-10 hours, most of the bowel sounds disappear or weaken; 8-10 hours exhaust and defecate.
③ Treatment of acute icteric infectious hepatitis
20 cases were observed by acupoint injection of peanut oil, 19 cases were clinically cured (symptoms disappeared, liver function returned to normal, liver swelling disappeared or shrunk to 0.5cm below the rib), the average treatment days were 38.3 days; 1 case was markedly effective (symptoms basically disappeared, liver function did not return to normal, liver swelling and shrunk was not obvious), and the treatment was not continued after 18 days. After treatment, the clinical symptoms improved most obviously, 80% of the patients basically disappeared 5-10 days after treatment; the average recovery time of liver function was: jaundice index 25 days, alanine aminotransferase 27.2 days, shezhuo 25.2 days, shexu 40.7 days, naoxu 29.5 days. 12 cases of hepatomegaly returned to normal, 3 cases had different degrees of shrinkage. Preparation and usage: take ordinary peanut oil and filter it twice, put it in the refrigerator for 24 hours. If there is no precipitation, pack it separately and sterilize it with high pressure for standby. If there is precipitation after refrigeration, filter it again until there is no precipitation after 24 hours. Peanut oil was injected into the following acupoints: group 1: Ganshu, Pishu and Sanyinjiao; group 2: Qimen, Danshu and Zusanli. Acupoints can be selected according to the symptoms. One group was selected each time, and the two sides were used alternately, 1 ml was injected into each acupoint twice a week; when each group was injected more than 4 times, and the reaction was not sensitive, the other group was changed. After injection, some patients had local distension and pain, but it subsided after 1-2 days without other side effects.
④ Prevention and treatment of infectious acute conjunctivitis
The peanut oil was filtered and sterilized by high pressure. Acupoint selection: liver, eye or liver, eye, severe cases with subdermal. 1 ml for each point. 31 cases were treated, and the average cure time was 2.5 days. Among the 658 cases used for prevention observation, 26 cases (3.95%) developed the disease, while 58 cases (23.69%) did not receive prevention.
⑤ Used for anesthesia
For example, Zusanli, Neimadian and Daheng (right) were selected for appendectomy. 0.2-0.5 ml peanut oil was injected into each acupoint. The induction time was 10-15 minutes. When disinfecting the skin, intravenous injection of dolantin 50-100 mg and phenergan 25-50 mg were used as adjuvant drugs. 40 cases were observed. The anesthetic effect was as follows: Grade I in 6 cases, grade II in 25 cases, grade III in 6 cases; failure in 3 cases.
