Evergreen trees, up to 18 meters high, alternate leaves, petiolate; leaves leathery, elliptic to obovate, 6-12 cm long, entire, green above, glossy, white green below. Flowers bisexual, panicle terminal or axillary, perianth 6 pieces, light green, wide lanceolate, dense white hair on the inner surface; development of stamens 9, 3 rounds, outside 1, 2 rounds, base without glands, anther inward, the third round of base with 2 glands, anther outward, 4 rounds for staminodes 3; ovary ovate. Berry, calyx persistent. The flowering period is from April to May. The fruit period is from August to September.
