Perennial subshrub like herbs. Stems weak, tufted, lying or spreading, hairy, 30-60 cm long. The lateral leaflets are usually small or sometimes absent, apex obtuse, both sides covered with close pubescence. Raceme terminal or axillary, sparse; bracteoles ovate, membranous, conic, hairy and linear; petiole hairy, 2-3 times as long as calyx; calyx about 2 mm long, campanulate, 5-lobed, upper 2-lobed; corolla lavender, about 4 mm long, flag petal round, wing petal connected with keel petal; stamens 2-bodied; ovary sessile, style inflected, stigma capitate. Pods oblong, inflated, 6-10 mm long, slightly hairy, with fine transverse veins, turning black at maturity. Seeds 6-8, kidney shaped. The flowering period is August.
It is found in the grassland near the mountain and house. It is distributed in Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, Fujian and Taiwan.
