[medicinal material] the dried root tuber is cylindrical, slightly curved, about 10-20 cm long and 2-3 cm in diameter. The appearance is yellowish brown or reddish brown, the cork is rough, with obvious vertical and horizontal wrinkles, the skin pores are long and protruding, and the yellow white xylem is exposed at the rupture of the cork. It is hard, light yellowish brown in cross section, silty, with radial pattern and bright yellow holes. Without Qi, the taste is bitter before sweet.
Produced in Sichuan, Jiangsu, Jiangxi and other places. This product is used as Radix Polygoni Multiflori in Jiangsu Province.
