[plant morphology] Ophiopogon yunnanensis, also known as diguicao.
Subshrub, ca. 50 cm tall. Upper branch, branches opposite, densely pilose. Leaf blade lanceolate, 5-7.5 cm long, 1.8-2.5 cm wide, apex acuminate, base cuneate, entire. Flowers are corymbose cymes; calyx 5-lobed. Persistent; corolla tubular, apex 5-lobed; stamens 5, alternate on corolla; ovary inferior.
Born on the side of the mountain road. It is distributed in Yunnan, Guizhou and Guangxi.

Warm in nature and pungent in taste.

[usage and dosage] oral administration: decoction, 0.5-1 Liang.
