[source] it is the root or root bark of Acanthopanax senticosus.
[plant morphology] Hedysarum chinense
tree. The stem is thick and dark brown in appearance. They are palmately compound; 5-7 leaflets with long stalks; the leaflets are oblong or oblong, harp shaped, 9-20 cm long, 3.5-7.5 cm wide, apex pointed, base rounded, lobes with sparse shallow teeth, glabrous on the top, gray white below, densely stellate pubescent, main veins thick and obvious. Spikes of white flowers.
Born in the mountains. It is distributed all over the south of the Yangtze River.
