[plant morphology] Sabina trifoliata
Evergreen subshrub, about 50-100 cm high. The stem has nodes. The leaves are slightly fleshy, 5-8 pieces aggregated at the top or stem; the leaves are long lanceolate, 30-50 cm long, 4-6 cm wide, entire, smooth and glabrous. Racemes at apex. Sepals 3, petals smaller, stamens 6, ovary 3-locular. Berries globose, red when ripe, slightly fleshy, unbroken, bright and crisp. The seed is white, as big as pea, smooth and hard.
Born in tropical forests. It is distributed in Yunnan.

Sweet and warm.
Functions and indications: tonifying deficiency, expelling wind and dampness, and dredging meridians. Treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, lumbocrural pain, impotence, cystitis, postpartum hemorrhage.
