It is astringent and warm.

[function indications] convergence, hemostasis and antidiarrhea. Treatment of hematochezia, uterine bleeding, leucorrhea, diarrhea, sore swelling.

[prescription selection] ① for hematochezia, uterine bleeding and leucorrhea: Quercus liaotungensis, kadousanqian. Take it in water.

② Treatment of chronic dysentery and watery diarrhea: Quercus liaotungensis shell and bark or root bark each three money. Take it in water.

③ Treatment of ulcers, carbuncle: Liaodong oak shell and bark or root bark each five money. Wash the affected area with boiling water.
