Perennial herbs. The root is filiform and hairy. Stem erect, about 20 cm high, fleshy, sparsely hirsute. Root leaves 2-4 pieces, petiole long, fleshy, leaves round, slightly fleshy, diameter 5-6 cm, base heart-shaped, edge shallow wavy, with very sparse shallow notches; stem leaves small, alternate, petiole short, with coarse hairs, leaves round, length about 1 cm, width about 1.4 cm, edge with blunt teeth. Flowers axillary and terminal; flowers small, green; bracts leaflike, ovate or obovate; calyx tube connate with ovary, lobes 4, ovate, imbricate; petals absent. Capsule semiepistatic, apically lobed.
Born in the wet and shady place of rock mountain.
