[plant morphology] dachili
Perennial herbs, 50-100 cm high. Stem erect, upper part branched, glabrous or woolly. Leaves alternate, basal leaves petiolate, upper leaves base clasping stem, leaves pinnate and spiny. Inflorescence large, solitary or several aggregated branch ends, densely woolly; outer layer of involucral bract with long spines; flowers red. Achene, crested pinnate.
Born in the wilderness and roadside.

[flavor] sweet and bitter, cool.
Functions and indications: cool blood, stop bleeding, eliminate observation and disperse swelling. Treatment of hematemesis, epistaxis, hematuria, uterine bleeding, jaundice, carbuncle.
[usage and dosage] oral: decoction, 3-5 yuan.
