[source] it is the flower bud of Magnoliaceae Plant Magnolia officinalis or Magnolia officinalis. The plant morphology is detailed in "Magnolia officinalis".
[collection] at the end of spring and the beginning of summer, when the buds are not open or slightly open, they are picked, steamed in a steamer and taken out about 10 minutes later, and then dried in the sun or by slow fire. There are also those who directly bake or dry flowers without steaming.
[medicinal material] the dried flower buds are 4-7 cm in length and 2-3 cm in diameter. The outer surface is brown or brown red, apex or obtuse circle, bottom slightly round, with petiole; the petiole is 1-1.5 cm long, about 5 mm in diameter, with small hairs on it.
