Shrubs scattered or rattan, glabrous. Leaves opposite or 3-whorled, leathery, ovate, obovate or elliptic, 1.5-3.5 cm long, 8-20 mm wide, apex obtuse or slightly concave, sometimes short pointed, base obtuse or short pointed, both sides bare, margin rolled back, lateral veins inconspicuous; shortly stipitate. Inflorescence is sessile or short petiolate inflorescence or panicle, less than 1.5 cm long, terminal or at the top of branchlets; calyx is small, less than 1 mm long, without glands in calyx; corolla is white, 3-4 mm long, tube cylindrical, slightly contracted near the top, lobes small, ovate; stamens 5, anthers contained; carpels 2, separated, but connected by a single style.
