[plant morphology] Baiyao
Climbing vines, more than 10 meters high. Stem cylindrical, gray brown, with obvious corky lenticels, young branches green, glabrous, slightly expanded on nodes. Single leaf opposite; papery; ovoid to oblong ovoid, 8-13 cm long, 5.5-8.5 cm wide, apex acute, base rounded, upper green, lower yellow green, entire, 4-5 pairs of lateral veins; petiole 1-4 cm long. Cymes axillary, flowers small. Follicles thick, fleshy. The seed has a corolla. It blooms in summer.
Born in alpine valleys and hillsides.
