Annual herbs, 10-20 cm high. Stem branched, lower part often prostrate, with fine stripes. Petiole obtuse to 2-5 cm, margin 1.5-1.5 cm long, glabrous to glabrous, margin 1.5-1.5 cm long. Raceme terminal, 3-6 cm long: Flowers opposite, with short stalks, bracts; sepals 5, green; corolla purplish red or white. Capsule small, linear cylindrical, ca. 1 cm long. It blooms in summer and autumn.
It was born in the wet and shady place beside the ditch, paddy field and road. It is distributed in Guangxi, Guangdong and other places.
