Plant morphology?
Perennial creeping herbs. Stem covered with long hairs, few branches; tendrils simple. Leaves alternate; broadly ovate heart-shaped, 5-10 cm long, 4-9 cm wide, apex pointed, margin slightly serrate; both sides hairy; petiole. Flowers axillary, single, dioecious; pedicels of male flowers short and thin, pedicels of female flowers long and thick; calyx short campanulate, lobes 5, linear lanceolate, reflexed; corolla yellow, campanulate, 5-lobed, petals narrowly ovate, short hairy, about 2.5 cm long; stamens of male flowers s, sterile stamens linear, filaments hairy; female flowers have short staminodes, ovary inferior, oblong, long hairy Pilose, with 3 forked reniform stigmas. The bottle gourd is long ovate or wide elliptic, 4-5cm long and 2.5cm wide, red or green. The flowering period is from July to August. The fruit period is from August to September.
Born on hillsides or near houses. It is distributed in Northeast and North China.
