The adult male is 3.6 meters long, with a shoulder height of 1.6 meters and a weight of more than 500 kg. There is a bulge on the shoulder. Small ears. The limbs are short and thick. The male horn is big, the base of the horn is slightly flat, and the distance between the two horns is very large. The horns first rise, then bend outward, and then bend upward, and the tip of the horn tends to bend backward. The coat is dark brown. The hair on the head and back is short and smooth. The snout and nose are slightly white. In old age, the hair on the head is gray and the back is brownish red. Tail down to heel. Domestic yaks are smaller in shape and have different hair color. The reproductive period is in autumn and the pregnancy period is from August to September.
Wild people live in high mountains. It is resistant to cold and afraid of heat. There are ten groups. It is distributed in Qinghai Tibet Plateau.
