Shrubs, 100-160 cm high. Young stems densely white hairy, soon glabrous. The leaves are odd pinnate compound, alternate, 4-5 cm long, with 9-17 leaflets; the leaflets are opposite, oblong obovate, 7-10 mm long, 3.5-6 mm wide, apex obtuse, base cuneate, entire, leathery, with scattered adherent white hairs on both sides. Racemes axillary, ca. 3 cm long; flowers purple, butterfly shaped, sparsely, 7.5 mm long; pedicels thin and short, less than 1.5 mm long. Pods straight, linear, 3 cm long, with several seeds. It blooms in spring.
Born on hillside wasteland. It is distributed in Yunnan.
