[source] it is the tuberous root of Pholidota yunnanensis.

[plant morphology] Pholidota yunnanensis

Perennial herbs. Pseudobulb is 10-15 cm long, 1-2 cm thick, hexagonal, big at the bottom and small at the top, like a cone. The stem is 50-80 cm high with leaf sheath at the base. Leaves 5-7, lower leaves larger, long lanceolate, apex pointed.

Born in the deep mountains and forests, at the foot of trees or stone crevices and other damp places. It is distributed in Yunnan.

[collection] all year round. Fresh or sliced, dried and powdered.

[flavor] bitter, slightly numb, cool, with little poison.

Functions and indications: clearing away heat and dampness, dispersing wind and relieving pain. Treatment of dyspepsia, abdominal pain, carbuncle sore swelling poison, rheumatic pain.
