It's a short, clean herb with fragrance. Leaves several, ovate, biseriate, stipitate, upper sheath open. Several flowers, wrapped in a pre green flame bud. Calyx tubular, lobes equal; corolla tube weak, lobes lanceolate; lateral pseudostamens large, obovate; labellum obovate, 2-lobed; stamens short prominent, anthers long and curved, base with 2 parallel appendages; style weak. Capsule oblong. Seeds curved, fusiform, with torn aril.

It grows in mountain stream and grass under forest. It is distributed in Yunnan and other places.
