He soon escorted King Zhou Ping to move his capital to Luoyi and was rewarded with a large area of land. Later, he destroyed the state of Ying by means of estrangement. While the emperor of Zhou was inspecting the defense of the state of Guo, he destroyed the state of Guo, married his daughter and killed Guan Qisi, the minister who advocated attacking the state of Hu. He attacked the paralyzed state of Hu, making the state of Zheng gradually strong and laying the foundation for the small tyrants of Zheng Zhuang.
Life of the characters
Inherit the throne
Duke Wu of Zheng, surnamed Ji, is the son of Duke Huan of Zheng and the cousin of king you of Zhou. In the 11th year of king you of Zhou (771 BC), Shen Hou, the king of the state of Shen, united with the state of ZA and the dog army to attack king you of Zhou, killed king you of Zhou under Lishan Mountain, and killed Duke Huan of Zheng at the same time. After the death of Duke Huan of Zheng, the people of the state of Zheng supported and established the throne for Duke Wu of Zheng.
Opening up Xinjiang and expanding soil
In 770 BC, Duke Zheng Wu escorted King Ping of Zhou, the son of king you of Zhou, to move to Luoyi (now Luoyang, Henan Province), which is the beginning of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty. King Ping of Zhou was meritorious in escorting Zheng Wu Gong to move eastward, so he appointed Zheng Wu Gong to succeed his father, Zheng Huan Gong, as the Minister of the Zhou royal family. Zheng Wugong continued to adhere to his father's strategic plan of eastward expansion. On the one hand, he escorted King Zhou Ping to move eastward to Luoyi. On the other hand, he further carried out the specific actions of attacking and destroying the eastern Guo State and Ying State, and annexing the surrounding eight cities of Yan, shelter, Bu, Dan, Yi, Yao, Li and Xin. In the second year of zhengwugong (769 BC), zhengwugong occupied the capital of the state of Ying (Yanyi, now dafanzhuang, Quliang Township, Xinmi County, Henan Province) and destroyed the state of Ying. In the fourth year of zhengwugong (767 BC), zhengwugong occupied the capital of Dongguo state (now guangwuping City, Xingyang, Henan Province) and destroyed Dongguo state. Then it swept the surrounding areas of Yan, shelter, Bu, Dan, Yi, Yao, Li and Xin. He moved the capital of the state to the old capital of the state of Ying, making the original money sending place his own territory. He also moved the old capital from Shaanxi to Henan and built a new city under the name of "Zheng".
Emancipating businessmen
Zheng Wugong put forward the slogan of emancipating "businessmen" for a powerful country. Most of the "merchants" were skilled and able-bodied people who could do business. After Zheng Wugong moved to the East, he saw that they were the forces that could not be ignored in the construction of the country, so he relied on these forces to develop the beach wasteland and expand the cities including Hulao city. Zheng Wugong also built the capital of Huan Gong into a grand capital. Although the capital did not become the ruling center of the supreme ruler of the state of Zheng, the scale of the capital has already exceeded that of the "hundred pheasants", and there is also the ancestral temple of Duke Huan of Zheng. With the level of productivity at that time, the construction of such a grand project shows the grand spirit of Zheng Wu's strategy.
Outstanding merit
Just when Zheng Wugong was carrying out the strategy of Wugong, King Ping of Zhou was suspicious of Zheng Wugong's opening up and expansion, and wanted to take back the land granted to the east of Hulao. Therefore, Zheng Wugong had to move his capital to Ying (now Xinmi, Henan Province) in the sixth year of King Ping of Zhou Dynasty to build a new capital. At this point, Zheng Wu Gong inherited his father's ambition to take the ten cities of Guo and Ying, and basically realized his grand plan of "the former Huahou River, the right Luo river and the left Ji River, the Lord of he and he, and eating Qin and he". in the 10th year of zhengwugong (761 BC), zhengwugong married Wujiang, the daughter of the king of Shenguo, as his wife. Wujiang gave birth to his son gasheng and Gongshu Duan in 757 BC and 754 BC respectively. Because gasheng was born in dystocia and Gongshu Duan was born naturally, Wujiang didn't like gasheng but Gongshu Duan, which buried the cause of civil strife in Zheng State. In the 27th year of zhengwugong (744 BC), zhengwugong was seriously ill. Wujiang wanted to make Gongshu Duan the crown prince, so he repeatedly asked zhengwugong, but zhengwugong refused. In the same year, Zheng Wu Gong died, and he became Zheng Zhuang Gong. after his death, Zheng Wugong was buried at feifengding in Aoshan, north of Xingyang, Henan Province. Feifengding is also called wugongling because it is the site of Wugong mausoleum, and Aoshan is also called Guangwu mountain.
Political initiatives

During the reign of Zheng Wugong, he held high the two banners of "respecting the king" and "loving the people", made great efforts to develop the economy, and successively destroyed Ying, Dongguo and eight other vassal states, and his power developed to the vicinity of Luoyang, Henan Province. Later, for the benefit of the royal family of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, Duke Wu of Zheng gave up a large area of land to the west of the Zhiyi (hulaoguan) and made great efforts to develop in the southeast of Xingyang, Henan Province, and "moved the capital of Zheng State from the capital to Qinhe (now Xinzheng, Henan Province)".
military
In the eighth year of zhengwugong (763 BC), zhengwugong wanted to attack the state of Hu. He deliberately married his daughter to the monarch of the state of Hu to make him happy. Then he asked the ministers, "if I want to use the army, which country can crusade?" Guan Qisi, the doctor, replied, "the state of Hu can crusade." Zheng Wugong angrily killed him and said, "the state of Hu is our brother's country. What's the reason for you to attack it?" After hearing that the state of Zheng and the state of Hu were no longer on guard against this incident. Zheng Wugong took the opportunity to attack and occupy the state of Hu.
Evaluation of later generations
Shu Zhan: "the brothers of Jin and Zheng, my former monarch, Duke Wu, and Marquis Wen of Jin, worked together as one, and supported King Ping in the Zhou Dynasty. King Ping worked hard and gave him a pledge, saying," the Prime Minister of the world will rise. " If you have heaven, you can be said to have great heaven. If you use Qianxun, you can be said to have the merit of Wenhou and the career of Wugong. " Liu Bei: "the Zhou Dynasty supervised the second generation, and built all the concubines, which really depended on the blessing of the Jin and Zheng dynasties." "Zheng's Sangong stele" Inscription:
“
Wu Gong, the king of Baoping, moved eastward, prospered and destroyed the country, and preserved Zhou's sacrifice. He was praised by the Chinese people and presented the chapter of "Ziyi". How wise
