He has successively served as director and senior engineer of Technical Information Office of Nanjing survey and Design Institute, deputy chief engineer of Nanjing Institute of Surveying and mapping, and the third director of China Society of Surveying and mapping. In 1978, he wrote the book "algorithmic language and its application in surveying calculation", which applied electronic computing technology to the field of Surveying and mapping in China.
