Wu Cheng
Wucheng, an ancient county, is now located in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province. In 223 BC, in the Qin Dynasty, Zicheng was changed to Wucheng, named after Wujin and Chenglin.
Historical evolution
It belongs to Kuaiji county. It is located in xiazicheng (yaotou village, Yunchao Township, 25 Li south of Huzhou City, which was first built in 248 BC in the 15th year of King kaolie of Chu state in the Warring States period). Wu Cheng lived here, so it was named. Hanyin. In the fourth year of Yongjian in the Eastern Han Dynasty (129), Wujun was set up in the west of Zhejiang (Qiantangjiang), which was originally divided into Kuaiji Prefecture, and Wucheng belonged to Wujun. It was transferred from Jin Dynasty to Song Dynasty. In Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was merged with Gui'an as Huzhou Prefecture of Zhejiang Province. In the Republic of China, it was abolished as Wuxing county.

Huzhou was named Wucheng in the Qin Dynasty. Later, it got its name because of its lakeside Lake Taihu. Its administrative division has undergone many changes, and now it is a city under the jurisdiction of Zhejiang Province. The terrain of the whole city is inclined from southwest to northeast, and the west is mountainous. The highest peak is Longwang mountain, 1587 meters above sea level. The eastern part is plain water network area, with an average altitude of only about 3 meters. There are Dongtiaoxi, Xitiaoxi and many other rivers. The city has a subtropical humid monsoon climate.
