Shi Ximin
Shi Ximin (1912-1987), a member of the Communist Party of China and a native of Pujiang, Zhejiang Province, once used pseudonyms such as Shi Dongfu, Qi Min, Shi mingcao, Huai Nan, he Daoliu and Mingshi. He has successively served as member of the Standing Committee of Jiangsu provincial Party committee, director of Publicity Department of Nanjing municipal Party committee, Secretary General of Publicity Department of CPC Central Committee, member of standing committee and director of Publicity Department of Shanghai municipal Party committee, alternate Secretary of Shanghai municipal Party committee, member of East China Bureau and director of Publicity Department of CPC Central Committee, vice minister and Deputy Secretary of Party group of State Ministry of culture, director of State Administration of publishing industry, etc. He joined the Communist Youth League of China in 1929 and transferred to the Communist Party of China in the same year. In 1937, he participated in the preparation of Xinhua daily in Wuhan and worked in the newspaper for nine years. He wrote a large number of political comments, monographs, newsletters and news at home and abroad, and made important contributions to the work of the United Front.
Life achievements
In 1928, he joined the anti imperialist alliance and the revolutionary mutual aid society in Shanghai. In February 1929, he joined the Communist Youth League. In September, he became a member of the Communist Party of China. In 1930, he served as propaganda officer of Shanghai Hudong District Committee of the Communist Party of China. After being wanted, he transferred to Peking University to study. In May 1931, he served as a political propaganda officer in jihongchang Military Department of the Anti Japanese Alliance. In 1934, when the Allied forces were forced to collapse, they disguised themselves and went south. In Shanghai, they organized the China rural economic research association with Qian Junrui, Xue Muqiao, Sun Yefang, etc., participated in the magazine China economic intelligence, and engaged in Anti Japanese and national salvation activities. In January 1936, he was employed as the "Declaration monthly" to publish a large number of economic and current affairs reviews. After the outbreak of the Anti Japanese War, he went to North China as a reporter of Shenbao. In November 1937, he took part in the founding work of Xinhua daily in Wuhan and served as an important news editor. After Xinhua Daily moved to Chongqing, it was appointed editorial board member and department director in September 1939. In 1941, when the "Southern Anhui Incident" took place, he, together with pan Zinian and Zhang Hanfu, exposed the Kuomintang conspiracy and publicized the party's ideas. After the southern Anhui Incident, Zhou Enlai wrote poems and poems to protest. Shi Ximin and other comrades fought with the KMT's news inspector and made them appear in the newspapers. During the war of liberation, he served as the deputy general manager of Jiefang Daily and Xinhua news agency, the organ of the CPC Central Committee. At one time, he worked under the direct leadership of Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai and Liu Shaoqi. He was the director of the interview department in 1945. In October 1946, he arrived in Yan'an and served as a member of Xinhua news agency and vice president of Jiefang Daily. In 1949, he went south with the army and successively served as the president of the Nanjing Branch of Xinhua news agency, the president of Xinhua Daily, and the director of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and Nanjing Municipal Committee. In February 1954, he was Deputy Secretary General of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee. From 1955 to Shanghai, he successively served as member of the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the CPC, Minister of publicity, alternate Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the CPC, member of the East China Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Minister of publicity, and vice chairman of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference. In 1965, he was transferred to Beijing as vice minister of the Ministry of culture and Deputy Secretary of the Party group. He was persecuted in the "Cultural Revolution" and illegally imprisoned for nine years. in October 1975, he was the director of the state Publishing Bureau. In 1980, he served as Deputy Secretary General of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, deputy director of Guo Moruo's editorial board, and honorary director of the Institute of journalism of the Chinese Academy of social sciences. He was elected as the people's representative of the Eighth National Congress of the Communist Party of China. The collection of works is "time Hongzhao".
