Teng Yanchu, born in 1947 in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, is an artist who has received wide attention at home and abroad in the fields of conducting, performing and composing. He has been the judge of comprehensive quality assessment of CCTV young singer Grand Prix for many times and has left a deep impression on the audience. Teng Yanchu studied piano, composition and conducting in the primary school attached to the Central Conservatory of music. Teng Yanchu is currently the national first-class conductor of China broadcasting art troupe, permanent conductor of China Film Symphony Orchestra, China Broadcasting chorus, chief guest conductor and art director of Tianjin Symphony Orchestra. Art career

Teng Yanchu grew up in Harbin's grandfather's family. His uncle, who loved musical instruments, and his classmates and friends often gathered at home. They played their own musical instruments and sang Russian folk songs. As a child, Teng Yanchu's musical literacy was enlightened. Erhu, flute, Violin and other musical instruments became his toys. When he was 4 or 5 years old, he was able to explore and try to play his favorite songs. My grandfather often took him to listen to classical music on an old gramophone at home. At the age of 9, Teng Yanchu came to Beijing to study. He was admitted to the primary school attached to the Central Conservatory of music to study piano, composition and conducting. From primary school and middle school to 25 years old, he has been "influenced" in the art palace of the Central Conservatory of music for 16 years. Learn piano from Lou qianmei, Liu peiyin, pan Yiming, Zhu Gongyi and other teachers, composition and orchestration from Liu Zhuang and Dai Hongwei, and conductor from Xu Xin. During the "Cultural Revolution", he stopped classes to make revolution. He went to the liberal arts university to listen to literature, Chinese and foreign history and geography, and to discuss philosophy and western music history with his teachers and senior classmates. Even in the first 10 years after graduation, when he was assigned to the orchestra of the central radio, cultural and Arts Troupe, one stop away from his alma mater, he went to his alma mater almost every week to attend lectures, concerts and learn from his teachers.

In the 10th Grand Prix, the TV audience saw that the judges on the stage and the piano accompaniment on the stage looked so much alike that they mistook them for twins. The time was tight, the task was heavy, and they had to face live broadcast. Many piano players were embarrassed, and Teng Yanchu was very helpless to play the piano accompaniment. As a composer, he has composed more than 30 instrumental music, more than 40 film and television music, nearly 100 songs and more than 600 orchestrations.
