Chen Ailian

Chen Ailian (1939-november 21, 2020), born in Shanghai, is a Chinese dancer and famous dance performance artist. Before he died, he was vice chairman of China Dancers Association, researcher of Institute of dance of China Academy of Arts, director of Institute of Chinese opera and dance, dancer and director of China Opera and dance theater, teacher, head of Chen Ailian Art Troupe, and President of Beijing Ailian dance school. She has starred in many dance dramas, such as fish beauty, red flag, white haired girl, Princess Wencheng and a dream of Red Mansions.

He was a member of the sixth, seventh, eighth and Ninth CPPCC National Committee. He was once a member of the Central Committee of China Zhigong party, a member of China Association for foreign cultural exchange, a member of China population and Culture Promotion Association, a member of China Indonesia economic and Cultural Exchange Association, a member of China performance association and a member of China Tianhan foundation. In 1991, he led a delegation to visit the United States to raise money for the Anhui flood and the Chinese community in New York.

In 1992, he led a delegation to visit Macao to raise funds and perform for the third National Games for the disabled, which was well received by people in the United States and Macao.

In 1995, Chen Ailian founded "Beijing Ailian dance school". She devoted all her energy and financial resources to running the school.
