He graduated from Fuyang No.22 middle school in 1944. In March 1949, he went to Taiwan with Mr. Sun Liren to serve at Huangpu Military Academy in Huangshan. In 1954, with the help of Mr. Cheng Jingguo, he left the army and was admitted to the Journalism Research Institute of Zhengda. In 1956, he received a master of Arts degree from Taiwan Political University. he has been a lecturer, associate professor, professor and director of the Institute of journalism. He served as a consultant to Taiwan's "Ministry of education", "information bureau", China Journalism society, China Press Council, and a member of the National Chung Cheng Cultural appraisal center. Chairman of China Academic Culture and education foundation, executive director of jixingfu culture and education foundation, executive member of Zeng Xubai News Award Foundation, etc. He mainly teaches journalism history, comparative journalism, space communication and other courses. In 1963 and 1972, he went to the United States to study and engage in research work. In 1967, he was awarded the Liberal Arts Scholarship and gold medal by the Ministry of education of Taiwan. He won the journalism academic works award of Zeng Xubai academic foundation in 1975. He once served as the editor in chief of the academic lexicon of Journalism and mass communication in the national language dictionary of the Ministry of education of Taiwan, and the editor in chief of the series of Journalism and mass communication in the University of the Taiwan Commercial Press. Now he is the director and professor of the Journalism Research Institute of the Journalism Department of the National Chengchi University of Taiwan, and the executive director of the Mass Communication Education Association. he won the gold medal of international communication academic achievement of American Biographical Literature Research Institute in 1997, ranked in the world celebrity list in 1998, the IBC international celebrity dictionary in Cambridge, UK in 1999, and the IBC world 2000 outstanding intellectual celebrity list in the 20th century, UK in 2000. He is also a leading figure in Taiwan's journalism academia. He has been to the mainland many times to actively promote cross-strait exchanges. He has also set up scholarships and donations in Shandong University, Weifang Institute of science and technology and Jinan Changqing No.1 middle school to help students in his hometown study.
