brief introduction
The ancient agricultural songs of Xupu have been sung for thousands of years. In the 1970s and 1980s, Xupu began to compose industrial songs. Yizheng Chemical fiber was established in 1978. The first phase of the project was put into operation in December 1984. It was reorganized into Sinopec Yizheng Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd. in 1993. It was listed on the stock exchange of Hong Kong Limited and began trading in 1995. It has become the largest production base of modern chemical fiber and chemical fiber raw materials in China. based on the capacity of polyester polymerization plant at the end of 2007, the group is the fourth largest polyester manufacturer in the world, and the polyester polymerization capacity of the company ranks first in the world. In 2000, Xupu was incorporated into Zhenzhou and became an important chemical fiber industrial base in Yizheng and even in the whole country. Here was once one of the eight sceneries of Zhenzhou in Yizheng, and now it has been re composed by the people's Congress of Yizheng, and the more majestic "Xupu long song" of the new era is playing here. Pu (a place near water or where a river enters the sea). In the seventh year of King Ping in the spring and Autumn period (522 B.C.), Wu Zixu fled to Chu and joined Wu. Before that, there was a torrent of water, and after that, Chu pursued soldiers. With the help of "yuzhangren", Wu Zixu crossed the river with his sword, so he got the name "Xupu", which means "xuzhipu". In April 2000, Xupu town was abolished and merged into Zhenzhou town. Xupu river has been flowing from prehistory, singing the ancient songs of Yizheng ancestors. At first, the ancestors of Yizheng lived by water and lived a life of fishing and hunting. Later, they discovered the growth law of wild rice on the alluvial plain on both sides of Xupu river. Every autumn, they would harvest. They learned to express their joy with songs, which were passed down from generation to generation, and the ancient songs were also sung down. From then on, they began to live in the area of Xupu River, learned primitive farming, and created an ancient agricultural civilization. Every time in the planting season, there will be high pitched singing in the rice fields, which is harmonious and continuous, forming a unique "Xupu Nong song". This kind of "oral creation, oral transmission from generation to generation, strong local flavor" of agricultural songs has gathered a variety of folk elements, such as planting seedling chants, Che Shui chants, folk tunes, and so on, which are still sung in the local area. From the Yuan Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, Xupu's Nong songs were integrated into a large number of Southern Jiangsu culture, and the singing of Nong songs mostly contained Southern Jiangsu dialect, such as "two girls' flower shoes are skillfully made", with a strong southern Jiangsu color. During the period from the late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China, the development of Xupu Nongge was at its peak. The painter Zhu Naifang painted eight scenes of Zhenzhou. Xupu Nongge is a true portrayal of this grand scene. in the 1950s, musicians such as Yi Ren and Lu Qigui investigated and sorted out xupunong songs, and published xupunong Song Score. Among them, I love my sister can spin, which was sorted out by Lu Qigui, was included in Chinese folk music collection. In 1990, organized by Mr. Xu Shizhen, Qian Guangrong and pan Licun took part in a three-month survey of Xupu Nong songs from melody to repertoire, collecting nearly 1000 lyrics.
The origin of the name
It is said that in the spring and Autumn period, Wu Zixu's father was injured by the treacherous officials of the state of Chu. Wu Zixu's father and brother were killed. Wu Zixu fled from the state of Chu. When he came to the Yizheng River, he met a fisherman and asked for a ferry to cross the river. Wu Zixu was very grateful and wanted to give the fisherman his platinum sword as a reward. The fisherman refused to accept it. When asked his name in return, the fisherman refused to tell him. Wu Zixu was worried that the fisherman would disclose his whereabouts. Seeing Wu Zixu's look, the fisherman sighed: the king of Chu is offering a reward to catch you. If I am greedy for money, I just need to report your whereabouts. The reason why I gave up my life to save you is to respect you. Wu Zixu had no choice but to say goodbye. Before he took a few steps, he heard a plop in the river, looked back, and the boat capsized. It turned out that the fisherman rowed the boat to the center of the river and sank himself, so as to eliminate Wu Zixu's suspicion. Later, the place where Wu Zixu crossed the river became "Xupu".
